Prime Rib, Cream Corn, and Mashed Potatoes

About a week or so ago, we made this really yummy supper, and I took lots of pictures, to share with y'all, and then never did anything with them. Today however, I'm finally typing up a post for you.

This folks, was the supper:
Read on to get the recipes and pictures to go with them.

The cream corn recipe was one I found online, and we just love. You can find it here. So yummy.

I started it in the crockpot at about 11 in the morning, so it had most of the day to cook. This picture just shows the corn and butter.

Here it is with the cream cheese added as well.
I did a 5lb bag of  corn, instead of just 4lbs, and it still turned out great.

Here is is with the sugar, salt and pepper added. Then I added the cream, and turned it on  low. Then all I had to do was stir it a few times throughout the day, and it was ready by supper.

Mmm

For the prime rib, I just took a regular, boring old roast, thawed it, seasoned it, and cooked at 300*. After and hour, I turned the oven off for two hours, it's very important that you don't open the oven during that time. Then I turned it back on for an hour. After that, I just let it set in the oven for another 20 minutes before taking it out and slicing it. So yummy and tender.

For the mashed potatoes, just cook however many potatoes you normally would for your family, and when they're done and drained, add a some butter, and seasoning salt, and mash well.

I used Morton's Nature Seasoning for the meat and potatoes. We love this stuff.

And the you have it folks, our supper.
